Los Hongos - a film about Cali

or at least set in Cali, Colombia
Man, I'm fed up with computers. And reports, and blogs, and photos. Because this is now what I spend a lot of my days working with. Did I link you to our youth delegate blog? If not, I'll do it later. Now I only have just enough energy to post the trailer to this brilliant film: Los Hongos, which we saw at the cinema a few weeks back. It's all set in Cali, where I live, in this beautiful and somewhat troubled city in Colombia. And the film is absolutely beautiful.  It's already screening at international festivals. See it, if you get the chance.

Bogotá, Colombia, we are here!

View from the hotel, this is Bogotá, or at least part of it
Me, Johanne and Willian (former youth delegate to Norway) who picked us up at the airport and gave us food

Now: It's morning over here and we are getting ready for meetings, meetings, food and some more meetings.

Back in Nicaragua

Bosawás

is where I've been this week. Nadia, one of the girls from my group, came up from Oslo, and we spent two entire days locked up in my family's house in Tromsø, working on choosing images for the photo-book we'll be making and also writing texts and making postcards for our information work.

I've also held two trainings for my Global Dignity volunteers, and will be doing more this coming week. We went to a moustache themed party. I've been to a small festival arranged by the city's oldest bank, been to a book swapping event, a vintage fair and a second hand market, I've watched too many films, too many QI reruns and just enough Friends reruns.

Life is being very busy right now. I'm hoping this will right itself in a little while, and it can go back to just being a normal sort of busy.

Brighton

This is me, sitting in Kayung and Kyle's back garden in the sunshine (and a bit of wind), drinking tea and taking it very easy.

The past week has been exhiliratingly busy, with Norway Day on Thursday, flying to Oslo on Thursday, flying to London and taking the train to Cornwall on Friday, spending the weekend in Falmouth (not sleeping much), taking the train to London on Sunday and sleeping a few hours at Ina's house before heading to Brighton this morning.

Now I'm chilling with tea and sunshine and lovely Kay who is writing her uni proposal, which suits me good since it gives me an excuse to lazy about and do nothing. I probably won't post much this week, but I wanted you to know I'm alive and happy as a lark.

Left to right: Temmy, Kristina, Polina, Sunniva (me), Carlos and Thomas (lacking Xiomara)

I'm back, I'm back, and I have no brain capacity to write long things on my blog. I came back yesterday and went straight to my parents house for food and rest and relaxation and all the sleep I haven't had the past week. Today I've been a proper couch potato, editing photos, reading one book and watching Life of Brian. Tomorrow I start doing productive things again.

Also, Blogger has changed its layout and I'm still figuring out how it works.
