After a really slow winter, we finally got some snow in December. I'm confused as to whether I like it or not, and I've been missing Cali and the heat they have there in December. At the same time, I know how to deal with the snow and the wind and the cold, and I can feel that this is where I come from.

Christmas with my sister, brother in law, and niece and nephew (respectively five and two years old) was a rollercoaster of an experience, as it is when you throw expectations, sweets, sugar, presents and late bed hours into the mix. It was so good seeing them again, and realising how much they've grown in the past two months. Also being with children at Christmas is beautiful - the past two Christmases I've spent in Colombia and Spain with all grown-ups. Being with children I get to show more of my childish side and go back to my own childhood Christmases, which is nostalgia heaven.

 The Zenúes were indigenous people, who of course were almost eradicated by the Spanish

 But at least some of their land has now been acknowledged as a Zenú reserve

Ladies and Gentlemen, since without no previous notice, I've suddenly used up all my storage space on the blog, and I'll have to look into this/do something about it. Tomorrow. (Today is Downton Abbey).

I've had a lovely weekend.

Friday was the first day (both weekday/weekend) I had without going to any Red Cross House or activity since 28th October.
Saturday was the first day I could sleep in since I-don't-know-maybe 20th October.
Saturday was the first party I went to since Utropia Cabin Trip at the end of September.

Saturday also brought two Christmas parties, one family and one Utropia, which in Norway means a lot of greasy, fatty food and of course a lot to drink. Christmas dinner twice in one day! And already today Sunday I'm busy stuffing myself with pancakes and chocolate.

Om nom Christmas, bring it on, I say!
