Summer throwback

To my family holiday in Tossa de Mar, Spain, in September. (Not my family on the photo).

Where my cousin Mats was happy to be photographed at any given moment.

My aunt Mette tried to find a hat that didn't make her children laugh.

 The mannequins were brilliant.

 I found Atlantis!

And there were other tourists about.

You could buy all the bathing equipment you could imagine.

And my cousin Elisa was also happy to have her photographer cousin around.

Stay tuned for more! As I'm writing, it's dark outside my window in Tromsø, the snow is whirling about, and I'm preparing to go visit my sister for Christmas. So why not look back at summer and sunshine? *Pretends it's not because she left blogging off for four months* *Coughs*.

Spain

I exist!

The past two weeks I've been on an outdoor activity centre run by a South African couple, working 5-8 hours per day and getting food and lodging in return. Let me give you a itinerary of my typical day there:

0830: Get up, have breakfast, try to remember to put on sun cream.
0930: Start work: clean the kitchen, sweep the floor, feed the small animals (pigs, dogs, cats, peacocks, parrots and one adorable tortoise).
1100: Go down to tea garden, start boiling water as guests start to arrive, clean pool and do general maintenance.
1330: Have lunch, hopefully be able to sit down more than 10 minutes.
1530: Hope that there are no more guests for the day, sit down in the sun with a book.
1535: More guests arrive for coffees and teas.
1700: All guests are gone, change into swimwear and plunk down next to the swimming pool.
1900: Help Helen or Jenny feed the horses for the night, or start making food, or get ready to go out.
2000: Have dinner, or leave to go to the paella restaurant where we ate five times during my fourteen day stay.
2300/2400: Go to bed.
